Maxion Wheels Recognized as Digitalization Pioneer
Recognizing operational and leadership excellence on the transformation journey to digital manufacturing, the Manufacturing Leadership Council announced its 20th anniversary Manufacturing Leadership Award winners during a ceremony on the evening of June 5, 2024. The gala honored more than 140 award finalists, 11 category winners, and six Manufacturing in 2030 Award winners.
Maxion Wheels was one of the six “Manufacturing in 2030 Award” winners, with judges recognizing its project, “Exploring New Process Design Frontiers”, as a significantly forward-thinking innovation with the potential to impact the larger manufacturing industry in the years ahead.

“Exploring New Process Design Frontiers”, showcased the company’s ability to significantly reduce time, waste, CO2 and cost from the aluminum wheel casting process through the integration and optimized use of advanced simulation, high performance computing and data science. The project, with plans to scale globally, was conceived in Maxion Wheels’ Americas Advanced Engineering department, and was partially funding by Finep, Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations.
