As part of Daimler Truck AG and Mercedes-Benz Trucks' reECONIC โ a battery electric waste collection vehicle developed with circular materials โ Maxion Wheels is demonstrating how significant footprint reductions can be achieved at the component level through circular materials and advanced engineering.
For the project, we developed a 22.5 x 9.00โ steel truck wheel that cuts CO2 by more than 50% compared to a conventional wheel โ without compromising safety, performance, or durability.
Itโs a prime example of how circular materials, low carbon steel, and intelligent lightweight engineering can deliver real impact in high volume, safety critical components.
