Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, has won Tata Motors as a new customer for its VersaStyle passenger car steel wheel. Currently, the company is on track to deliver 150,000 VersaStyle wheels per year for Tata’s model “Tiago.” This on top of the three million VersaStyle wheels produced annually for other Maxion Wheels customers.

Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest manufacturer of wheels, announced today its participation in the 67th IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition in Hanover, Germany. From Sept. 20 – 27, 2018, Maxion Wheels will display both its application-diverse truck wheel product portfolio, as well as present several of its latest innovation wheels designed to tackle the industry’s challenges of fuel efficiency, connectivity and new mobility in Hall 26 / Stand A42.

Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest producer of wheels, announced today its participation in REIFEN, the leading tire and wheel industry event in Europe, from Sept. 11 – 15, 2018 in Hall 12.1 / Stand D24. For the first time, REIFEN will be co-located with Automechanika Frankfurt at the Messe Frankfurt.

Michelin, one of the world’s largest tire makers and Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, received a 2018 CLEPA Innovation Award at this year’s European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) Innovation Award program. The jury recognized the two companies’ joint innovation efforts that resulted in the latest wheel invention, the ACORUS Flexible Wheel, with third place in the “Cooperation” category during the June 13, 2018 award ceremony.

Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, today held a ground breaking ceremony (Bhoomi Poojan) on the future site of its 25,000 square meters plant in Khed City, Pune. Hundreds of guests, including company dignitaries, customers, suppliers and associates attended the traditional Hindu event, which included a plaque unveiling and traditional ground breaking ritual.

Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, announced today the formation of a new legal entity, Maxion Wheels Aluminum India Private Limited, as a key step in its plan to develop and produce up to four million light vehicle aluminum wheels annually in India. The Company has secured property in Pune, India and will initially build a 25,000 square meters manufacturing plant with annual capacity of two million wheels beginning production expected for the third quarter of 2019. Additional land was also purchased for a plant expansion that will increase annual capacity to four million wheels in the coming years.
