Keeping the Humvee rolling
One of our main customers for military wheels, AM General, has produced over 300,000 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV).
Known as "Humvee", this vehicle served under the most demanding conditions on battlefields for more than 30 years and has become the vehicular backbone of U.S. forces around the world.
Our take-apart wheels are the only field-tested and field-proven wheels for the HMMWV – they are designed to work with radial tires and central tire inflation systems, and consist of two formed or fabricated steel halves bolted together, with a run flat system and beadlock to secure the tire beads to the rim flanges.
