Maxion Wheels Recognized for Digital Manufacturing Excellence
Maxion Wheels, the world’s largest wheel manufacturer, received during last night’s 2021 Manufacturing Leadership Awards Virtual Gala, two awards from the National Association of Manufacturing for its implementation and leveraging of Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) predictive maintenance digital solutions.
“Maxion Wheels began its digital transformation journey in 2018, and since that time has made great progress with a focus on manufacturing excellence through reduced downtime, improved operations efficiency and lower operating costs,” said Esteban Remecz, Chief Information Officer, Iochpe-Maxion. “Receiving two nationally-acclaimed awards for our work in condition-based and predictive maintenance is an honor for the company, and a testament to our digital transformation and operational excellence teams who embraced the power of Industry 4.0 witnessing firsthand the positive impact on both customer satisfaction and the bottom line.”

- INDUSTRIAL INTERNET OF THINGS LEADERSHIP AWARDfor the light and commercial vehicle steel wheels plant in Königswinter, Germany
- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE LEADERSHIP AWARD for the light vehicle aluminum wheels plant in Saraburi, Thailand
